this South India's popular recipe called Idli, granulated paste, basmati rice, Black gram, and fenugreek seeds. Idli is not only delicious in food but it is also prepared very soon. You can eat these soft and fluffy idlis at any time as a snack, brunch or snack. Idli is also good enough to be served with sambhar and coconut chutney. Actually, they have a lot of calories, so it's a boon for those who are dieting. At the same time, you can also try several types of fusion dishes such as idli chats, manchurian idli, paper idli etc. Apart from those who are always quick to go to the office, then it remains perfect for them. If you only eat coconut or coriander with chutney and sambhar, then consider it a day's meal.

Ingredients of Idli Recipes


  • 2 1/2 cup basmati rice
  • 1/2 tbsp fenugreek seeds
  • 5 tablespoon oil oil
  • 1 1/2 cup urad dal
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • According to water requirement




Idli recipe preparation

  • Wash rice and urad dal properly until the clear water from it starts falling. Then add fenugreek seeds in it and leave it for 4 to 6 hours to separate the rice and pulses in the water. Then, after removing all the remaining water of urad dal, grind it thoroughly and prepare the paste, if the water in the grinders, then put it according to your need.
  • After grinding the rice even after making a rough paste, mix both pastes together in a big bowl so that their batter is not thicker nor too thin.
  • After this, keep aside Idli batter for better yeast, because then you can get soft and fluffy Idli to eat. So keep the batter in a warm place and once the yeast is well in it, add salt to it and mix it well again.
  • Now add oil in the mold of Idli and fill the batter with a spoon and prepare all Idli mold in a similar way. Then put 1/2 cup water in Idli Stimer and boil it to make steam and put idl stand inside it and put it on the lid. After that, turn off the gas after keeping Idli in steam for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • If you are using the cooker to make Idli, then do not stick whistle for 10 minutes to Streem Idli. However, wait for 5 minutes to complete the steam completely after making both ways and then remove the idli stand and wait for 5 minutes. Then, with a sharp knife, turn Idli off and remove it. Serve it with coconut or red coconut sauce.
